Three Days of club culture, sunset sessions and night time rituals? A glass of Perrier Jouët with every ticket? It’s happening.
Aptly timed in the lead up to Hong Kong art week, Potato Head Hong Kong X Perrier Jouët’s ‘Art of the Wild’ will be a three day celebration in the city’s iconic Watermark building.
Overlooking Victoria Harbour, this temporary outpost of the Sai Ying Pun location, will feature sunset sessions, that roll late into the night. A nightclub transformation made possible through art and music references from 1980s New York, and ones further intensified, by instillations and digital amplifications from Berlin based graffiti artist Nomad.
Diverse music sessions and an international line-up will be hosted by a collective of artists. Notably Tony Humphries, the original resident at Club Zanzibar where the sub-genre of house music, US Garage sound, originated from.
Further contributions come from Gerd Janson, who runs record label of the moment, ‘Running Back’,as well as analogue synth collector and producer Joakim from Paris. African vinyl and tribal drum machine inspired funk arrives care of Africaine 808 (Berlin), whilstBalearic disco re-mixers Pete Herbert (London), Eric Duncan (NYC) and Downtown Party Network (Lithuania) complete this unique take on the Hong Kong sunset.
One further enhanced by local contributions from Potato Head Hong Kong’s Music Room regulars Roy Malig (H.K.Vinyland), Yunus (Video, Lighting, Sound), Zepa Records (Video & Sound) and resident Johnny Hiller (artistic direction).
As with all experiences, Potato Head’s signature hospitality style will flow with Perrier Jouët, cocktails, authentic Indonesian fareand more available for purchase at the bar. Additional packages and tables available upon request.
