Meet Louise
We are tremendously excited to share that in collaboration with Michelin-starred French chef Julien Royer of Odette restaurant, we will open ‘Louise’, a French restaurant in June.
‘Louise’ will take over our space in PMQ currently occupied by Aberdeen Street Social, which will close from April 1st, to allow renovations to start.
The restaurant will mark Julien Royer’s first project outside Singapore.
To the unfamiliar, in 2015, Julien opened the two Michelin-starred ‘Odette’ in partnership with The Lo & Behold Group. Housed in the iconic National Gallery Singapore, Odette debuted on The World’s 50 Best Restaurants list last year at No.28.
Internationally-acclaimed designer André Fu will oversee the ‘Louise’ interiors.
“Louise allows me to really go back to my roots, and rediscover the heritage recipes that I grew up with,” explains Royer who will assign an Executive Chef and a local team.
“I want to create a comforting, heart-warming experience for guests. Even though the Hong Kong audience is global and diverse, we all find familiarity and nostalgia when quality ingredients and honest cooking are brought together in a warm atmosphere.”
Adds Yenn Wong: “JIA Group is looking forward to working with Julien Royer and André Fu to transform our address in PMQ. In keeping with JIA Group’s mission to create venues that resonate with both style and substance, ‘Louise’ will be a space both Hong Kong’s residents and visitors can enjoy in a variety of ways.”
Reflecting on the location, Yenn notes that since 2014 Aberdeen Street Social has hosted a number of memorable events and became a go-to destination for many diners. “We will continue this tradition with Louise.”
Further details on the restaurant’s menu, concept, name and design will be available in May, and we look forward to sharing with you soon.
We would also like to thank everyone who has supported Aberdeen Street Social since it opened five years ago, and can’t wait to introduce you to ‘Louise’.
